He has served in the Mumbai Police for last 36 years at various Police Station and in various Departments including Crime Branch, Special Branch, Airport Security, Special Intelligence Unit, etc.

He has commanded the Elite Crime Branch of the Mumbai Police and was instrumental in detecting and investigating many serious crimes.

He was a part of the Special Unit of Mumbai Police actively involved in the operation in charge of the areas when properties, viz. Taj Mahal Hotel, Leopold Hotel and Nariman House were attached by the terrorist on 26/11/2008 in Mumbai.

He has won many awards and his services were highly appreciated by the department and public from time to time.

He was also awarded the prestigious Director General’s Insignia for Best Investigation & Solving of a Complicated Case.
